Hello families,
I am back in WI and all emails can be directed back to me. I appreciate your patience while Alyssa, Becky, Jessie, and I have looked over and discussed your emails and very valid questions.
We really value your input. Right now we have multiple staff members who have tested positive for COVID. Between today and tomorrow we are going to set up a staff poll to ask our staff how they feel about changing our guidelines to match more what you are seeing within the school district.
With the huge child care staffing shortage, we want to make sure we are seeking staff input and making them feel safe and heard.
During my last directors meeting with other childcare centers our current policies seemed consistent to each other with serving a younger demographic than most of MMSD. Becky or I will also reach out to the UW-affiliated childcare centers on Monday to double check that our policies are consistent to theirs as well.
We thank you for your patience and kindness as we continue to navigate and re-evaluate these policies.
