Good morning families,
I will be sending home the 2023/2024 contracts with your children today. Before sending those out I wanted to note a couple changes that were made, they will also be bolded in the contract.
We will be adding a spring break in the 2024 school year (March 25-29) and will be following the MMSD spring break going forward.
This past semester we piloted a couple early release days, these days are to help our staff work with their co-teacher on classroom responsibilities and for us to do our staff meetings before 5:30pm. My goal when planning early release dates is to very rarely have them in the same month that we are already closed for parent/teacher conferences or a holiday.
As you know childcare, like many other industries, is facing a staffing crisis and LCLA has been working hard to make sure we continue to be there for your children. We have made the above changes to help with staff burn-out. I am always looking for more ways, both practical and fun, to help with staff morale. Teacher Appreciation Week is the second week in May and I will start planning ideas for that, if any of you have fun ideas please feel free to email me those.
